Frequently asked questions

  1. Confirm you installed the correct plugin format for your DAW (VST3/AU/AAX).
  2. Open your DAW’s plugin manager and force a rescan of plugins.
  3. Check that the Greentone plugin file is in a folder your DAW scans.
  4. On macOS, make sure you allowed the plugin in System Settings → Privacy & Security if you saw a security warning.

  • Make sure Greentone is inserted on a track with an input signal (guitar, reamp, etc.).
  • Check the input and output meters inside Greentone – if input is flat, your DAW might not be sending audio.
  • Ensure the plugin is not bypassed in your DAW’s insert list.
  • Disable any other plugins on the track as a test to rule out conflicts.

  • Increase your audio buffer size slightly in your audio interface settings.
  • Freeze or bounce other heavy tracks to free CPU.
  • Make sure you’re not running multiple heavy amp models in parallel unintentionally.
  • Close other CPU-intensive background apps (browsers, screen recording, etc.).

  • Double-check that you’re entering the exact email and license key from your purchase confirmation.
  • Deactivate on old machines if you’ve reached the activation limit (if applicable).
  • Temporarily disable VPN or aggressive firewall tools and retry activation.
